An extremely effective and very baffling trick which justifies the investment in this beautifuly made prop. I tell the audience the box contains "my family jewels", so as to get a chuckle out of some of the older members in my audience. Ideal for close-up, intimate settings, where the audience can really see what you are doing.....Be sure to stress (and show) the drawer is completely empty before you start. To make the writting on the small strips of paper ledgeable, I type them with very readable font on my computer and as an aid, leave it accessable on my Publisher so that I may just replace the "name" of the person each time. Be sure to have the person removing the slip from the box read loudly so that everyone gets the effect. You may have to remove the selected block from the box yourself as they are a little hard for an audience member to pick up. When you are putting the clipped paper strips in place benieth the stones, it becomes easier if you remove the entire master block holding the jewel blocks instead of trying to place them with the drawer removed.....always be careful when transporting the prop not to drop same and dislodge any of the clipped slips. Always check the drawer before you perform to be sure none of the clips have dropped. Don't loose any of the clips, because I don't know where you would find replacements!
