$75 is a lot to pay for a plastic trick, but I bought this believing Tenyo (the manufacturer) must of had a reason for doing so. They did. It really is quite intricately assembled. As a matter of fact, I had no idea there was even a built in gimmick until I read the directions to find out what made this thing so special! Unfortunately, anyone that has time to view the apparatus can quickly come up with at least a vague idea as to how it works: I am talking about those two black "wings" that fold out on the back. You just know that they are there to hide something. They do, and if you do not watch your angles very carefully you will be caught!! The funny thing is though, that even if you figure out what those two black wings are doing, the average viewer will still not be able to figure out how the penetration is really done: that is the intriguing (and expensive) part of the illusion.
Once again, the videography, and carefully monitored sound track, of the on-line demonstration, obscure a couple of things that you will only find out after doing this routine. First, the black wings are more visible than the video leads you to believe, and second, it makes a clicking noise when you do the "magic'! The noise is not terribly loud, but a viewer will hear it if you are not careful...and become very suspicious!!! This is a complex apparatus, and an interesting concept. I doubt though, that I will be performing this illusion much: it takes a lot of practice to get it perfect, more than I want to dedicate to it. Anyone who collects Tenyo products though should certainly buy this.
