Terrific effect, easy to do, and truly magical.
I'm performing this by showing all the cards face-up, asking a spectator to select a card "that strikes you," or select "their favorite card." That way, they have a connection to the card. They replace it into the pack, I insert the chopstick, and then the spectator "moves" the card (both by saying, "King of Hearts, move!" and by moving their hand. I move the card out and up as the spectator's hand moves, so it appears that the spectator is making the card move. The effect is no longer revealing a selected card, but instead is a more powerful (for me, anyway), of the spectator making their selected card move.
Try this method--you'll love it, I think.
