I will first say that this is a GREAT trick and I recommend it. HOWEVER, the instructions are poor and you have to purchase a single hole punch in order to perform it. Mark Mason usually does a fine job explaining his tricks: he really dropped the ball on this one. If you buy this you may want to read on to learn what initially confused me about it. None of what I am about to say is mentioned in the dvd instructions.
You receive a gimmicked card that is attached to a back up card for protection. You do NOT need to use the back-up, non-gimmicked card in the trick. However, you should remove the duplicate of the gimmicked card from the deck you use so you do not have two of the same card in the deck you are using. Why take a chance someone will notice two of the same card??
The next thing that was NOT mentioned concerns when you cut the deck, and have the spectator put their signed card back in. You HAVE to have them place their signed card ON TOP of the gimmicked card, not just anywhere in the deck like like Mark says. Remember this. It is the only way the trick will work!! The signed card goes on top of the gimmicked card.
Lastly, as I mentioned, the gimmicked card was attached to a another card for protection in shipping. I had a VERY hard time separating the two because they had been sitting around for a long time on a shelf. Be careful prying them apart. The card you want to protect will be obvious, the other card can be damaged with no consequence to the trick. Aside from the poor instructions this is a great illusion.
