At the time I'm writing this, 'Out of Hand' is out of stock, but if it ever comes back do yourself a favor and purchase one. It's a very well designed and clever chopper illusion. There are no fake fingers or external gimmicks used, the prop is fully self-contained. It's also more clever than I had first suspected, delightfully clever in fact. Mizoguchi is a master of the illusion and this prop is a fine example. I cracked myself up doing it in a mirror. It looks even more unbelievable in person. The card is examinable, the hand never leaves the frame hole, there's no difficult moves or actions and it's very easy technically, what is required is practice to get it looking smooth but even then it's nothing hard to learn
Difficulty level from 1 -5, I give it a 2, it's really quite easy, it's mostly an effortless illusion to perform. It's stage worthy and just like any chopper, smoothness and anticipation are key ingredients to its success, this makes both possible. On a personal level I'm a chopper collector and can honestly contend this is an ultimate version in both appearance and methodology. Unlike most, this one is multi-phased.
Bravo Mr. Mizoguchi!
