I think that Tenyo always shines their brightest when the mechanics of their tricks are just as impressive as the tricks themselves - and Mr Danger does not disappoint. While the secret of this trick may not be hard to deduce for the magically inclined, the creative mechanics and solid construction make this trick a great Tenyo piece.
The construction, for the most part, is very good. The frame feels solid, and has a nice weight to it. The inside face of the frame has a nice rough texture that adds contrast and makes it feel more premium. The swords feel a bit cheap, but not enough to be concerning. The yellow image on the plastic frame cover is a sticker - it looks and feels good, but I am a bit worried about how well that will hold up, especially if I often carry this around in my pocket. The cover itself can fall off of its hinges a bit too easily. It's not a big issue if you know to be cautious of it, but I would have liked to see more careful construction on that. But on the whole, this is a good looking trick that feels good in the hands.
The handling of this trick is good, with two exceptions: First, the "trick" makes a suspicious sound. The instructions give you a tip on how to minimize this sound, but it adds a small amount of awkwardness to the handling. Secondly, the trick has you insert 11 swords into the frame. This is too many, in my opinion, as it takes a while to insert them all. Other than these two things, this trick is easy to do, totally self working, and it instantly resets.
Despite my minor gripes with this trick, Mr Danger is lovely and fun trick that reminds me of the Tenyo classics. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Tenyo's magic style.
