Here's another example of Kreis magic's respectable attention to detail in their magic products. This is another Kreis item that will be a collector's piece when it is no longer made and will serve you very well throughout your entire magical life. It is pure solid brass penetrating solid items like a pencil or wand or penetrating a solid rope in very magical and baffling ways plus all is immediately examinable in the end. I have a Jardine Ellis ring, which what the Hexagonal Ellis Ring is based on and have used it in close-up magic too many times to count. I love it and my spectator(s) love it. Now for the amazing enhancements the experts at Kreis have done to that classic magic prop.
I normally don't delve into the inner secrets of a magic trick in my reviews but will in this case since, there's no way you could make one nor would want to since the price for this is quite reasonable plus I imagine you are already familiar with the Ellis Ring and Kreis keeps it no secret since the name is in the title of this prop. If not there are countless videos on it. The Hexagonal Ellis Ring by Kreis consists of 3 pieces: 2 rings and 1 shell. The shell fits perfectly and invisibly onto either ring. The solid ring and shell can be used in standard Jardine Ellis fashion and the notched ring and shell used for rope illusions. the props are absolute precision. The shell vanishes invisibly into the ring's hexagonal shape and there is no discernable variance when displayed openly from any angle. The hexagonal shape is very clever on Kreis's part. They even went as far as to slightly vary on side of the rings to compensate for the thickness of the shell. I'm telling you, it's a thing of beauty. The brass is brushed metal which makes it easier to handle and manipulate. Highly recommended.
