I had a suspicion how this works because I have their 'Smart Guillotine' and sure enough, the same principle is involved. It's a clever principle and looks great in the right light conditions. It can't be performed outside in bright reflective conditions, at least I wouldn't be brave enough to. This isn't a negative thing however as you can see by the performance video how deceptive it is in parlor and indoor conditions.
The great thing about 'Mystic Blackboard' is the versatility. It's more of a utility device than any particular themed device. Tenyo demonstrates a bent spoon illusion and give a few more suggestions in the instructions but this prop can change any drawing into another. If you've made it this far in my review just get it and consider the following as a bonus for your magical endeavors:
Magic Artist Board - A spectator initials a plexy blackboard that's shown to be otherwise blank on both sides. The magician takes some various color crayons and in a crazy manner scribbles on the board which is then slid into the envelope. After comically asking the spectator if they want to buy your art masterpiece and which they certainly refuse it's slid out of the envelope and is a cute drawing of a puppy which can be examined, the magician taking back and wiping off saying "Oh well." Method: Simply don't draw anything on the gimmick which will hide the drawing you'd previously done on the actual board. If you buy it you'll get the jest of it.
5-Stars for its possibilities
