This is my personal favorite of the 2020 lineup. It's intriguing, pocket worthy and always ready to perform. The props are standard Tenyo fare, plastic but not cheaply produced and visually interesting the moment it's brought out of your pocket. Unless your audience are magic buds from the shop, there's a very strong chance they've never seen anything like this illusion before. I'd tested it twice and with great success. Tenyo provides a couple of different cards for repeat performances with others in close vicinity. If you know card handling sleights I imagine you'll come up with your own preferences for doing 'the move' that's needed. There is a certain something you must do twice but it's the most simplest of things. If you do it in the hands without a table, think half-pass (more like quarter-pass really) and you'll have an understanding of what's involved, and that's pretty much it. The props and simple handling do the rest.
Note at the 2:36 mark on the video, the magician does a very clever switch of the gimmick base with a normal one (also provided). I thought I'd mention that because a switch is necessary if everything is to be examined as in the demonstration. It flew right by me until I read the instructions and re-watched the video. It's not entirely self-contained as I first thought, well it is if you plan on not having it examined at the end. I highly recommend putting out the effort though because with examination it become even more perplexing. There's nothing for them to find.
All-in-all, despite some sleight of hand being required, nothing is difficult and it's a fun illusion to carry and do. A great price for this level of practicality for real world entertaining and with intriguing props.
