This is very pretty card magic and for an intimate performance I cannot think of another card illusion more suitable. The whole idea of a lady's silhouette emerging from a card and blowing seedlings off a drawing of a dandelion and onto a person's signature card is poetry and something Japanese magic excels in. To the average magic hobbyist it may not seem like much, but I feel Hugo Choi has created a masterpiece.
The package comes with 4 cards, all which you see on the video. The lady's face is precision cut including her top eyelashes. If you purchase this, don't mistake that tiny burr for a flaw in the cutting process;it's suppose to be that way. Some elementary sleight of hand is also required.
If you're more experienced in card handling, I'd like to mention a slight alteration from the version taught. The card with the individual seedlings isn't used in this version.
1. With a fine-tipped black pen, draw seedlings on a card and place on the deck's top, its blank side up. Simply d / t the top 2 cards, d / t again. Have the top signed and complete cut, putting the card in the center. Flip the entire deck over.
2. Continue as explained in the video, spread to the card with the seedlings, allow the spectator to remove it and discover some seedlings had magically traveled onto the signed card's back. The lady can keep it as a souvenir with the apparent magical seedlings remaining on it to show friends and recap their experience.
Very highly recommended and well worth the cost.
