Here is my third review of the 2019 Tenyo tricks. If all I had to do was rate this for ingenuity, I would give it five stars because the thought and design that went into this is very original. However, as far as the trick is concerned, I feel it suffers. In short, the magician positions the dice in very specific locations in the box, applys the lid, and the dice either moves, multiplys, or disappears. It IS impressive, but the spectator wants to look under the lid and you can not let them....otherwise they see how the trick is done! It is fun following the instructions and seeing that everything really works as it should, but I am afraid that that is about all the appeal I will ever get out of this. After the first effect, there are three routines, the spectator will naturally suspect some hanky panky with the lid. Now, if you can get away with doing only one routine with this box, there is a relatively easy way to ditch the gimmick so you can give the lid to the spectator, and you come away clean. You have to decide how much to push your luck. One last thing, the dice shown on the website have a red "one pip" on them. The dice I received have all black pips. In summary, I recommend buying this trick, it is not expensive considering what you get, just to see how the folks at Tenyo make it work. It is very smart!
