At the time I'm writing this the item is sold out. But I still wanted to since I did manage to get one and would like for you to know what you're getting for the cost, so you might have a more informed decision once it is available again.
The ring is solid plastic and attractive. in fact it's identical to that in Shigeru Sugawara's 'Ring and Ribbon' which is also sold here. The silk is big and handles nicely. The meat of this trick is the gimmick. You may have an idea of what it is, and you'd be correct. This particular one is fast and smooth. It does make sound but with practice can be reduced. A nice thing about this particular one is if the certain something breaks. The gimmick can be easily opened and repair is pretty simple. That's always a plus in my book. The dvd explains and teaches all aspects of the illusion, the proper way to handle the gimmick, the methods behind the various illusions, and the repairing of the gimmick.
For the price I feel it's worth it. The props, including the gimmick, are the same as what Johnny Hirose uses, and none of it is cheaply made so there's quality in the product. The best part of course is Johnny Hirose teaching all the excellent methods of his routine. The video quality is very good and you'll have no problem understanding the methods. It'll just takes practice to get it down.
