Here's another strong piece of magic from Tenyo for 2017. The mathematical principle was developed by Tenyo. Recognized for its deceptive and fresh concept, this trick was awarded the Medal of Excellence in the Innovative Toy division of the 2016 Japan Toy Award.
Like many Tenyo pieces, this one can be carried around but with care. An outside jacket pocket is O.K., any pocket that conforms to the body however isn't recommended. That is, if you want to keep everything neat and straight. It's all paper, clothes pins and plastic cards so in that respect it's not anything that can be broken where it's rendered unusable, I'm just picky that way. It is a fascinating piece of magic and a table or in a club pool table is perfect. The secret is of course, mathematical. The choices are absolutely free throughout and a very simple quick calculation is all that's needed on your part. There's another little something extra you have to do but hardly anything notable. All-in-all it's a very easy trick to do. Tenyo even includes a 'nullifying' card that you can switch out with one of the 4 cards and disrupt the principle, so no matter how much they mess with it they'll never discover the secret.
Another brilliant Tenyo piece. Though simply an example of a mathematic process, it is fun to perform and I know Martin Gardner would have loved this. So for that I'm giving it a very big 5 stars.
