This is one of the most practical uses for an impression device I've ever came across. A problem with so many impression devices is they often seem out of place, clipboards, folders or strange looking pads for example. There's a logical excuse for them but they still bring question or suspicion. 'Mind Spy' doesn't do that since it's logical to use a card box when doing a card trick and as a simple, handy backboard for a sticky note to be stuck to for the spectator to hold when writing.
The gimmick is absolutely top notch, so thin it can be sandwiched between 2 rough / smooth cards and the rough / smooth action still works! That's how thin this impression device is. It's magnetism-based and the impression is very clear and easy to read. The fact that the card case is normal and the deck for the most part is and can be openly handled and ribbon spread make this a big mystery.
Considering the cost of many of these types of tricks this one was a great purchase. Plus, I'm a card guy and this suits my style.
