I can safely say that the vanish you see on the demonstration video is actually how well it works! It really is that clean and fast. It is a slick concept. Besides the gimmicked postcard you also receive a plastic model of the Statue of Liberty that is very well constructed. There are a few different models used so you will have no idea which "pose" you will receive with your trick. Mine is lying on her back reading her tablet. You also get a length of ribbon and a plastic spring clip to help facilitate the illusion, though after reading the instructions, the handling of it seemed strange and confusing! If you look carefully at the opening picture of the video you will see the card dangling from the ribbon and clip. Okay, that is the good stuff. Here are my concerns.
The gimmick is VERY fragile and if not handled carefully would be very easy to break. I suppose it can be repaired, but should we have to worry about doing that? The postcard itself has to be handled very carefully as well. If creased or folded the trick probably would not work. I also think the price is quite high considering that the basic trick components are all basically made from paper. I suppose the plastic statue, clip, and ribbon are the main reasons for the high cost, but how costly is plastic?
It is very easy to learn how to do, There are no tricky moves, you don't even have to worry about angles. It does take about 1 minute or so to set up, and you have to go off by yourself to do that. Otherwise, it is a great idea and it packs a big finale.
