This is definitely an interesting card manipulation, and quite original, but for what you get, over priced. Although the trick only uses the 4 cards you are supplied with, you do have to perform it on a black close-up mat, or possibly on a black surface. The black surface is necessary so that when the heart hole is first revealed the spectator will THINK it is just a black heart printed on the face of a card, just like is done on the other cards. This sets up the final reveal: that it is really a hole through the card! There is no DVD supplied with this trick to show how to do it: you have to go to a Vimeo sight which I think is a real cop-out, especially considering the price you pay for this packet trick. The video is written text, no spoken instruction, and it moves along very quickly: it is very hard to figure out what to do! The routine involves some special card handling that is not demonstrated well on the instruction video. You have to know how to do false counts, the Elmsley count, and how to hold a finger break. I will have to figure out how to do the false count. I do know how to do the Elmsley, BUT not how to apply it to this routine.
I think the over-all routine is quite original but its presentation, price, complexity, and extra materials needed force me to give this a 3 star rating.
