I know, this seems like an awfully expensive trick, maybe it is a bit pricey, BUT the effect you get without too much effort IS worth the price. The gimmick and technique involved are well thought out and deserving of the price in my opinion. As with most illusions, once you know the secret it loses some of its appeal: not this one. I wish I had thought of it!! MOJOE is not complex but it does use a very well constructed piece of apparatus to make it all work.
You can only do this routine with opaque liquids such as coffee, milk, cola, etc. It will not work properly with water, some teas, and other clear beverages. Also, it has to be done in opaque cups or mugs; NOT in clear glass! You also have to watch your angles if you perform the illusion as suggested: folks should not be behind you or close to your sides. And it does take some preparation, and the use of some readily available components to work: it cannot be done instantaneously. Things have to be prepared while you are off by yourself, and then carried over to your unsuspecting 'victims'! But who cares? This gimmick is perfect for that sort of presentation. It works best if you walk nonchalantly over to someone already carrying, and sipping on a cup of coffee.....then make it disappear without spilling hot (or cold) liquid anywhere. It is neat and worthy of any good magic collection. The gimmick is very well made and should last a long time, through many uses.
