'X-Ray Resistant Cards' by Astor is not inexpensive for this type of illusion and there are several methods for glimpsing the top card of a deck, packet, business cards, etc. but now that I own it I feel it's quite reasonable for what I got. First of all and most importantly the props are very nice and well made and the illusion is a brain scratcher for spectator(s). Astor includes a nice wallet to keep everything in and which has been stamped with silver writing and a 'Institute of Telepathic Skills' illustration which makes everything look professional, impressive and legitimate. This is a smart move on Astor's part since the props have no organic feel to them whatsoever (thick plastic cards) and the case's professional look gives everything a logical façade for existing. It looks like something scientists and doctors can purchase for this type of experimentation. The package even comes with a nice thin plastic envelope marked 'Prediction' for the 'prediction' card prop (my personal favorite). Astor even went as far as to provide a sample piece of the material the test cards are manufactured from so you can test your dry-erase markers on before using it on the actual cards because some dry-erase markers can actually stain surfaces and not be cleanly erased. A dry-erase marker is provided but eventually will have to be replaced so when that time comes you won't have to worry about damaging the cards. That's an example of care Astor put into this item and the overall quality. The method is very easy to do. If you don't have glimpsing experience you will need to practice that however but that's is the case for all tricks of this nature. Well done Astor, 5-stars for sure!
