'4D Printer' by Tenyo is another very good illusion but with a couple of reservations. First, the entire thing is cardboard, fairly rigid and nicely printed, but cardboard all the same. It may have been cost effective for Tenyo to do this but it would have been nice if the at least the frame was hard shelled plastic. But it's not, it's just a bunch of cardboard with a couple of gimmicks precisely attached. You even have to provide your own weights (a few coins, whatever) to make the frame stand on its own. Second, the instructions are pretty tough to understand. The illustrations aren't that good and it will take some back and forth reading and examining to figure it out. Yes, there's a little assembling on your part as well, not much but it doesn't come out of the box ready to go. It mentions the frame possibly being flattened when you first take it out and maybe having to straighten it out, so that could be a reason why certain pieces aren't in place initially.
The illusion is very good. It's just like you see on the demo. It's also very easy to do, I'd say 97% self-working. It's not portable for walkaround but isn't really designed for that. The props are larger in size and geared for birthday parties or magic performances where a small table or stand is available.
I would have given it a '5' star rating for the illusion it creates, it's just the cheaper construction that held this one to a '4'.
