OK, the video demonstration of this rope trick looks great: it sure impressed me, so I bought it. It was not difficult to learn how to do, though it is best performed wearing a jacket: something I was not aware of. Mr. Barry does give you two alternate handlings if you happen to not be wearing a jacket, but you have to remain stationary and keep your audience to the front. Otherwise the secret will be revealed. Also, I think the price is high for what you receive. But why only 3 stars? Because, once again I got suckered in by a deceptive video: the audio was doctored. This is a noisy trick to do thanks to the gimmick you have to use. There was no way I could do this for one or two silent spectators up close (6' away) without them hearing something peculiar! Consequently, I would not call this a close up trick, but one that should be done as far away from your viewers as possible: but so they can still see the relatively narrow rope used: it is about 3/8" in diameter. If the gimmick could be silenced somehow this would be a five star illusion.
