Inspiration DVD is Bebel and Vallarino's take on some classic tricks from Ed Marlo. First, they show the original version described by Marlo. Then, they discuss and brainstorm on how to improve the original trick to come out with a newer version.
This is also one of the unique opportunity to watch one of the best card magician in the world perform : Bebel.
There are so few and rare footage of him, this is really worth the purchase. Bebel motivates each and every one of his moves and actions. In this DVD, you will understand why his moves are so fluid, why his action are logical and how they are motivated. Beyond the tricks and techniques explained, it is a philosophy of doing card magic described for the first time. Not to mention Jean-Pierre Vallarino, FISM winner and creator of multiple tricks and DVD's over the years, this DVD is the DVD you do not want to miss.
In this volume, 4 routines are performed, brainstormed and improved :
1/ The trick of the 4 kings.
Both Bebel and Vallarino show their version of the trick of the 4 kings. You show 2 red kings, then 2 black kings, and when you ask where the kings are, they transformed into 4 aces. Bebel opens with Marlo's classic version using the KM move, then Vallarino comes out with a more visual version eliminating the KM moves. Finally, they brainstorm on how to make the version even cleaner than the original by removing useless techniques.
2/ A, 2, 3 and 4 of Spades.
This is the classic card to pocket effect. No duplicate are used. You place the ace in your lepel pocket, the 2 in your left jacket pocket, the 3 in the right jacket pocket and the 4 in your trouser's pocket. Then, you have 4 kings in your hand. In a handshake, the A, 2, 3 and 4 are in your hand, while the 4 kings are in each pocket.
Bebel performs this classic effect, and it's really an amazing routine in his hand. The brainstorm session will recreate the same effect while placing the card in plain sight, on the table, instead of placing them in the pocket.
3/ Mabillon
In this routine, Bebel performs a routine using 4 aces only. This is a very impromptu performance that can be done at any time using only 4 cards. Then, more aces are added one by one in this small pack of 4 aces, but in the end, you only, always, have 4 cards in hand.
4/ The Nameless trick
In this trick, Vallarino have 3 spectators hold the deck and pick a card. Each one of these cards are lost in the deck in the way that looks impossible to find, because the spectator replace the card themselves in the deck.
This is a very valuable routine, because this is the kind of trick that was almost never described on DVD or video by anyone. It is a real gem and a very cool bonus addition to this DVD.
