The magician displays a large envelope that he received from his friend in Wonderland. He explains that in the envelope there are four playing cards – all kings – and that his friend has predicted which suit the audience will choose.
Now the magician asks the audience to choose their favorite suit: clubs, spades, diamonds, or hearts. When he retrieves the four cards from the envelope, only the chosen card is facing toward the audience.
The others are all facing away, showing the same colored back. However, in addition to being arranged opposite to the other cards, when the chosen card is flipped over its back color is different from the other cards!
What amazing powers the people of Wonderland have!
