A Monkey Bar effect using Balloons.
(Effect)
A piece of wood with three holes in it is shown. A different colored modelling balloon is pushed through each of the holes.
You say that the balloon at the end will jump to the other end. The bar is passed behind your back and when it returns to the front the balloon is at the other end. The children take no time in telling you that you have turned it round. This can be repeated as many times as you thing you can get away with it.
Eventually the children will ask you to make it jump to the middle or you can suggest it saying "If I made it jump to the middle, would you believe me". The bar is passed behind your back again and when you bring it to the front the balloon is now in the middle. The balloons can now be removed from the bar and made into balloon animals to hand out to the children.
