The magician borrows a quarter from a spectator. He places the coin into a case with a key attached by a chain. He then sticks the key through the case and the quarter inside! When he withdraws the key and opens the case, the quarter appears whole and undamaged.
This item can be used as an actual keychain and be carried with you anywhere for impromptu performances that amaze and delight.

This coin plate fits a Japanese 500 yen coin, however, if you use a U.S. quarter, the effect still works equally, even though there is a little bit of space in the coin plate.
The fit of the US quarter does not alter the outcome of the effect.
The coin plate made for the US quarter specifically was discontinued because people found it unnecessary, as this coin plate works just as well.
