The performer introduces several intriguing props: a large felt square, on which is printed a circular chart with the numbers one through sixteen in random order; a small piece of card showing the numbers one through sixteen in a grid formation; a die, a cup, and a small spinner with an arrow.
A spectator is invited to shake the die inside the cup, then to invert the cup so that no one knows how the die has landed (i.e., which number is now on top).
The spectator now places the spinner in the center of the circular chart, and spins it. When the rotation stops, the number to which the arrow is now pointing is noted. For example, we'll say the number is Fourteen (14).
The cup is lifted, revealing the hitherto unknown number atop the die. It is, for example, Five (5). The die is placed onto the square labeled Fourteen on the small card.
The spinner is put aside. The felt chart is turned over. On the other side is an assortment of Dice Number, in a grid formation. Using the number grid as a guide, the performer counts to the FOURTEENTH (14th) number.
Amazingly, it is FIVE!
(NOTE) ・Flows continuously from one routine to the next by using same props.
