Simple yet incredible mental magic!

Have the audience choose one card from the deck. Let the audience return the card to the deck.
Magician deals the deck into six stacks and explains that there is a magical connection between the six stacks and the six sides of the die. The magician pulls an invisible die out of his pocket and allows the audience to roll it. Depending on the number that was rolled (chosen by the audience), the audience counts the stacks, choosing which one will remain on the table.
From the remaining stack, deal out six cards face-down. Allow the audience to roll the die once again to choose one card.
Unbelievably, this is the card that they first chose from the deck.
No special technique is required.
