What is AlgoLoop? --- AlgoLoop is a new fidget toy invented by Japanese mathematician & artist, Yosuke Ikeda.
Simple Mechanism, Infinite Possibility
The basic structure is very simple. A ball inside is propelled forward by moving a tube up and down.
Things get interesting as the number of loops and balls increases.
Interfering with other balls changes the route of the balls, creating unexpectedly beautiful patterns.
Mathematical Art
What makes AlgoLoop different from other marble machines is that the movement of the balls in the loop is not determined by chance but by a logical procedure.
This is what mathematicians call "Automaton". As well as being a fun toy, AlgoLoop is a truly mathematical art.
Nurturing Children’s Creativity
By changing the position of the balls, countless patterns can be created. This can be an educational toy that nurtures children’s ability to think and create.
Beautiful shape, Relaxing sound
Like most devices based on mathematics, AlgoLoop has a natural, functional, logical beauty. In addition, the sound of moving the AlgoLoop is a pleasant stimulus for the brain.
