The Card-In-Balloon Packet Trick!
(Effect)
The performer offers to perform one of the "Classics" of magic, in miniature. A spectator chooses a playing card from a deck. Three special cards are now displayed, each depicting an inflated balloon, ties to a string.
An actual piece of cord is strung through a hole in the corner of one of the balloon-cards. That card is pulled from the packet, the spectator being admonished to hold the cord firmly "to prevent the balloon from flying away."
The spectator slaps his hand onto the strung card, in order to "pop" the balloon. Sure enough, when the strung card is turned over it now bears a picture of an exploding balloon, with the selected card revealed within!
