A small aluminum bottle is displayed. The performer points out that there is small depression on one side into which he drops a steel ball bearing.
The bottle is turned over on its side and the ball drops out. Gravity at work!
This is repeated two more times.
Next, the performer draws attention to black ring at the neck of the bottle.
The performer states that a very strange thing happens when the black ring is slide downward toward the base of the neck.
The pressure applied by this ring now prevents the steel ball from falling out!
Try as you might the ball will not fall free of the bottle. Then the performer slides the ring back up to the top of the bottle and gives the bottle a shake.
The ball drops out onto his waiting hand.
This may be repeated as many times as you choose.
Finally the ball and bottle are given to the spectator and she is allowed to try.
No matter what he tries the ball always falls free of the bottle.
