Three cards are selected -- the King of Hearts, the Jack of Spades and the Ace of Hearts.

A small packet of "Magic cards" is removed from the magician's pocket.

When the King of Hearts is placed on the bottom of the packet, the entire packet is now seen to consist of nothing but King of Hearts.

Then the Jack of Spades is placed on the bottom of the packet and the entire packet consists of nothing but Jack of Spades.

This is repeated a third time with the Ace of Hearts.
